Elegant and historic building
The building was constructed in 1913 by the renowned Latvian architect Eižens Laube. It is an Art Nouveau masterpiece, and as such is included in the list of protected cultural monuments of Latvia. During 1937 and 1950 it was also home to Aleksandrs Čaks, one of the most celebrated Latvian poets, and the building still houses his memorial flat.
Modern living
The property has a modern and convenient layout – an open plan living room and kitchen, a quiet bedroom, and a bathroom with underfloor heating. The property contains original features such as the 3.26 metre high ceiling with a rose, as well as the original but double-glazed Art Nouveau windows on both sides of the flat for maximum daylight.
The property is located in a well-managed estate and faces a quiet backyard. The entrance of the building has a security lock, and the stairwell is about to be renovated.
This is a freehold property with land in ownership.
Quality finish
The flat has been recently renovated to a high standard complete with modern fixtures and fittings. During renovation, whenever possible, we have chosen the work of Latvian manufacturers and craftsmen, and where not – sourced beautiful and high-quality fixtures and fittings from Nordic and German manufacturers.
Dynamic environment
The central location of the property offers maximum comfort and convenience for its residents. A short 5-10 minute walk away are Old Riga, Vērmanes park, Berga Bazārs, the best restaurants and cafes in town, shopping centres, spas, sports centres, universities, and cultural and recreational establishments. Nearby, you will also find the central bus station and the central railway station that takes you to the Jūrmala beach in 20 minutes.
